Real stars appear over an illustrated background, which is not a photograph of that location. For a keepsake associated with a particular time, open the poster creator, enter that time and review its composition.
Move from exploration to a personalised poster
Open the poster creator, enter the details of your memory and choose among the six styles. Check names, spelling and your message. Review the entire poster, including its margins and typography: a screenshot of the explorer is not a substitute for this step. A short message often leaves more room for the sky. You can choose a date alone in your wording if the exact hour is uncertain, while still using a reference time for the calculation.
Choose the digital file, paper poster or frame
The €3.99 HD PNG suits you if you want to arrange your own printing. Ask your printer about the final size, margins and paper before ordering. For a paper poster or wooden frame ordered on the site, select the available options and delivery destination in the configurator. Check the total and delivery details before payment. The digital option includes neither a frame nor postal delivery; physical production and delivery are separate from downloading a file.

Do I need to pay to explore the sky?
No. Exploration and previewing are free. Payment applies only if you order the HD file or a printed format.
Is the explorer identical to the poster?
They serve different purposes. The free preview shows real stars over an illustrated background for your date and city at a fixed reference time of 10 pm. The poster creator also lets you adjust the time and adds a designed composition and your words. Review the poster creator’s preview to check the product you would receive.
How do I receive the digital file?
After payment is confirmed, download your HD PNG on the site. Save the file, open it to check the design and send it to your chosen printer if you want a paper copy.
What if I do not know the time?
The free tool always uses 10 pm as its reference. In the poster configurator, the time is adjustable. If it is unknown, choose a reference time and describe that choice in your message; a different time can change which part of the sky is visible.
