Ask gently whether a keepsake would be welcome
You can propose the idea in a few words and let the person respond later, without insistent reminders. Do not automatically choose a death anniversary or family reunion for the gift presentation. Also respect cultural and religious customs: a star can be an emotional image, but it should not be said that the deceased person has literally become this star.
Recall a person through a small, real detail
A memory of a voice, an expression, a walk or a way of welcoming can compose a sober dedication. Avoid phrases that prescribe turning the page or that explain suffering through spiritual certainty. You can write from your own experience: “I remember…”. If you don't know the person, don't make up an anecdote; a message of support addressed to the loved one is more accurate than an invented portrait.
Let the recipient control how it is shared
Have the spelling of the name confirmed and ask what date, if any, is appropriate for the remembrance. Limit personal information and leave posting disabled without explicit wishes. The certificate is a symbolic dedication in a private registry, without religious or scientific significance on the missing person. Once the PDF is confirmed, give it without requiring immediate feedback. The recipient can choose to view it, keep it in a folder, or not use it at this time.
