The HIP reference makes it possible to identify the Hipparcos entry; it remains distinct from the name chosen for the certificate. Consult the coordinates and their reference epoch, as well as the apparent magnitude when given. Do not infer from a simple spectral class the exact age or mass of a star. If you are particularly interested in a property, use the sources linked on the star’s information page and keep the uncertainties rather than transforming an estimate into a guaranteed characteristic.
Check the conditions needed to observe it
Smaller apparent magnitude corresponds to higher apparent brightness, but it is not enough to predict a successful observation. Position above the horizon, time, season, latitude, weather and ambient light also matter. The commercial price is not a measure of visibility or astronomical rarity.
