Your total is shown before payment and colour does not change the price of the same star.

What am I buying?
A personalised star certificate in PDF format and the assignment of a HIP reference to your order in our private registry. You are not buying the star, an official astronomical name or a financial investment. Starry Memory is not affiliated with the IAU.
What does a unique assignment mean?
After Stripe payment is verified and assignment is confirmed, this HIP reference is associated with one order in this private catalogue. Our commitment applies only to our internal registry. It does not guarantee exclusivity elsewhere or that nobody has ever named or dedicated this star.
When is my star assigned?
Selecting a star and creating a preview do not assign it. Any reservation during payment is temporary. Assignment only takes effect after Stripe payment verification and confirmation in our registry. If it is still pending, check your order status.

Starry Memory sets certificate prices between €9.90 and €2,490. Selections use astronomical profiles documented through SIMBAD and the cited publications. Some tiers also use historical HYG apparent magnitude, with thresholds of 6 and 8; this does not guarantee naked-eye visibility. Sources describe properties, not prices. Your total is shown before payment and colour does not change the price of the same star. Starry Memory commercial price: not a valuation, investment value or measure of the star’s rarity. A specialised profile requires a confirmed classification or a documented individual case study; missing or ambiguous properties are not assumed.
Which information can be public?
Publication is off by default. If you enable it, only the name entered for the star can appear with its HIP reference and status. The recipient, message and email fields are never published. Choose a name you are comfortable sharing publicly.
Can I remove the name from public display?
Yes. Use the publication setting available through your private order access. Removing the name from public display does not remove your certificate or internal assignment and does not make the star available again.
Is the distance exact, and can I see the star without equipment?
The distance is a catalogue estimate, not an exact measurement; it stays unreported if no usable estimate is available. A HIP code does not guarantee visibility with the naked eye. Check the magnitude, your location, the date and observing conditions.
What will I receive and when?
After payment is verified and assignment is confirmed, the two-page A4 PDF is available through your order confirmation. It contains your numbered certificate and guide. No postal delivery, frame, sky poster or automatic email is included. Save the PDF and private link.
What happens to earlier orders?
Orders from versions v1 and v2 retain their original prices and terms. The new unique assignment within the private catalogue does not apply retrospectively to those certificates or invalidate them.
